A friend of mine said, “People follow emotions.” This is true in our day to day relations with our family members, co-workers, including people we speak with on the phone, like Customer Service agents. Do you remember when your child was born? Do you remember your child’s first few nights at home, and how much love and comfort and emotional security you provided for your little one? Recall how satisfying it felt when you knew your little one could feel your love. I know for a fact that when I’m not in a great mood, my son could be whiny. When I am nervous, so is he. When I am having fun in front of him, he’s happy as can be. When you take your child to our Music Together® class, this reminder can be of great use. We already know that children follow our emotions, and when they see the grown-ups having fun, so will they! So dear grown-ups, let’s let our hair down and enjoy the music. Feel it in our bodies and our bones, move along to the music, and see how much fun it will be for the little ones. |
